Divide your total marketing spend for a period by the number of students who enrolled (paid the fee) from that spend. For example, ₹5,00,000 spent and 90 admissions gives a cost per admission of about ₹5,556.
Cost per lead (CPL) is spend divided by enquiries. Cost per admission (CPA) is spend divided by enrolled students. A cheap CPL can still produce an expensive CPA if few leads convert, which is why admissions teams should optimise for CPA.
Improve the steps between lead and enrolment: buy higher-intent leads, remove duplicates and unqualified enquiries before counselling, call new leads within minutes, and move budget to the sources that produce enrolments, not just enquiries.
Divide your admission target by your lead-to-admission conversion rate. At a 2% conversion rate, 100 admissions needs about 5,000 leads. Use the lead budget calculator above to turn that into a monthly budget and counsellor headcount.
